Second chances are a rare thing, but one of the nice things about the world’s biggest fringe festival is that sometimes, the really good shows come back.
10 Songs for Geeks – Jollyboat
The Jolly Brothers are a the standard for geeky fun at the Edinburgh Fringe, and it’s a very, very high standard indeed. Their long-running act is a heady blend of stand-up comedy, parody music, filking and pure joy. An absolute must.

Fanboy
Joe Sellman-Leava’s Fanboy is a joyous and poignant exploration of what it’s like to be a geeky child who grows into a nerdy adult. We’ve seen a lot of shows that use pop-culture as a way to examine childhood, and this is by far one of the best.

The Magic of Terry Pratchett
Marc Burrow’s tribute to the life and work of Terry Pratchett is a unique blend of lecture and stand-up comedy that captures the essence of Terry’s journey. From his early days as a journalist to his untimely death in 2015, Burrows takes us on a heart-felt journey into the life of one of world’s greatest fantasy authors.

Character Building Experience
Sasha Ellen is one of the finest on-stage improv Dungeon Masters in the industry today and is also, sadly, one of the most underrated. Mixing geeky joy with a lightning-fast understanding of both the rules of improv and TTRPGs, Character Building Experience is a joy to behold.

Tom Crosbie: I Came, I Saw, I Conq-Nerd
Legendary Rubix Cube Miracle Worker Tom Crosbie mixes the accumulation of useless but fun skills with an incredibly charming and fun manner that makes this remarkable show cosy and memorable. Well worth checking out.
